Our Mission:
The John Hancock College Preparatory High School counseling team will provide a comprehensive, culturally responsive, and equitable counseling program addressing the academic, personal/social, and college/career development of all students. The counselors will collaborate with Hancock stakeholders to support all students’ life-long postsecondary endeavors.

Who is the JHCP Counseling Department?
We are a student service department comprised of four professionally licensed master's degree-holding school counselors. Our domains of service include academic, social/emotional, and career development, in addition to a full-time college coach. School counselors meet with students in grades 9-12 on an individual, classroom, workshop, and small group basis on various topics within these domains addressing student needs. Our top priority is holistic student achievement in high school and helping our soaring Eagle students prepare for their future goals and endeavors.
