Transfer Students

Transfer applications are no longer being accepted.  The window will open again July 2019.
Applications for the 2018-2019 school year were accepted from Monday, July 2 - Friday, July 27, 2018. 
Applications will be accepted via email, fax, or in person.  
Only incoming sophomore or junior transfers can apply. Hancock does not accept freshmen or senior transfer students.

Minimum Requirements to Apply:

  • 3.2 unweighted GPA.
  • Must have minimum of 50 percentile in reading & math on most recent national standardized test scores (PSAT)
  • No suspensions or major disciplinary infractions
  • No Fs or Ds on final grades
  • Outstanding Attendance
  • Must live in Chicago (Must provide proof upon acceptance)
Applicants must submit all required documentation to be considered.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Documents that need to be submitted to Hancock:

  • Official transcripts showing all previous course work and final grades, GPA, and class rank
  • Copy of most recent high school national standardized test scores (EXPLORE, PLAN, PSAE/ACT, PSAT, etc)
  • Letter of good standing from an administrator (Principal, Assistant Principal or Dean)
  • IEP or 504 plans (if applicable)
Decisions will be communicated the first week of August.
