Transfer Students
We are pleased to announce that our school is now accepting transfer applications on a rolling basis. This means that you can submit your transfer application at any time throughout the year. Our admissions team will review applications as they are received and make decisions accordingly.
**Please note: Hancock is not accepting 9th grade or 12th grade transfers.**
Minimum Requirements to Apply:
- 3.2 unweighted GPA.
- Must have minimum of 50 percentile in reading & math on most recent national standardized test scores (PSAT/ACT)
- No suspensions or major disciplinary infractions
- No Fs or Ds on final grades
- Outstanding Attendance
- Must live in Chicago (Must provide proof upon acceptance)
Applicants must submit all required documentation to be considered.

Documents that need to be submitted for application:
- Official transcripts showing all previous course work and final grades, GPA, and class rank
- Copy of most recent high school national standardized test scores (EXPLORE, PLAN, ACT, SAT, PSAT, etc.)
- Letter of good standing from an administrator (Principal, Assistant Principal or Dean) *this is a document that is generated from the Illinois State Board of Education*
- IEP or 504 plans (if applicable)
