We are pleased to announce that our school is now accepting transfer applications on a rolling basis. This means that you can submit your transfer application at any time throughout the summer. Our admissions team will review applications as they are received and make decisions accordingly.
**Please note: Hancock is currently not accepting transfer applications for 9th, 11th, or 12th grade.**
Minimum Requirements to Apply:
- 3.2 unweighted GPA.
- Must have minimum of 50 percentile in reading & math on most recent national standardized test scores (i.e., PreACT)
- No suspensions or major disciplinary infractions
- No Fs or Ds on final grades
- Outstanding Attendance (93% or higher)
- Must live in Chicago (Must provide proof upon acceptance)
To be considered for admission, all required documents must be submitted.
Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
Required application documents include:
- Official transcripts showing all previous course work and final grades, GPA, and class rank
- Copy of most recent high school national standardized test scores (EXPLORE, PLAN, ACT, SAT, PSAT, etc.)
- Letter of good standing from an administrator (Principal, Assistant Principal, or Dean) *this is a document that is generated from the Illinois State Board of Education*
- IEP or 504 plans (if applicable)
