CTE -- College and Career Selective Academies
Hancock College Prep is proud to announce the following selective Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs:
- Pre -Engineering Honors Program
- Pre-Law Honors Program
Each program consists of an academically rigorous, four-year, honors level course of study. Students will be enrolled in one Pre-Engineering or Pre-Law course per year as part of Hancock’s curriculum.
In addition to in-class study, students will be exposed to real world opportunities such as internships and job shadowing.
Students will be assigned points for their 7th grade final GPA and their 8th grade high school admissions test score; student selections are based on points. Current CPS and charter school students will take the high school admissions test on Wednesday, October 26 during the school day. Non-CPS students should hold the following dates for testing: November 5, 6, 12, and 13. You will schedule a testing date after you apply. Please note: Hancock is not a testing site.
Scoring rubrics can be found on the GoCPS website here.
Students living in current high school boundaries of Bogan, Curie, Gage Park, Hubbard, Kennedy, and Solorio receive preference.
