Hancock College Prep means to change the off-campus lunch eligibility criteria and editorial written in red by tomorrow or for the November 2022 the current off-campus instrument plays penalizes students in an unfair way during the first five weeks of school I got a trim Lisa to the point that I had to go to the clinic to see what was wrong my head was pounding I was experiencing a fever sore throat and a cough after multiple times that I had to begin medication immediately and then it was not safe to attend school for the next two days I stayed home as my doctors recommended I want Hancock Randolph campus eligibility list I got that privilege taken away according to the Hancock parent student handbook senior qualifications for off-campus mind trick 3.5 GPA and 93% attendance although my grades were above the GPS standard my doctor's recommendation cause me to get off campus like privilege taken away for week 6 through 10 I was upset at this and emails Hancock staff immediately with my documents a doctor's note attached to see what could be done after reaching out to Hancock Administration about this issue 35 days have passed and I have yet to receive response the rest of the quarter without an answer nothing was done and the system and plays remain intact without change my remains ineligible for off-campus over a month and a half it is extremely annoying that students will reach out with a valid concern receive response explanation as to why this is an institution that actually promote student voice in my car for change went unanswered within the current that we live in Seaside seeing another woman of color is Wayne State and pushed away this is a school level program not district there for change is more possible and necessary from school for medical reasons with doctors notes are still calling negatively against students when it comes to having off a religious this is unfair and that students are getting their hard-earned freedom taken away for putting their own health before school most cases when students are absent to go to the hospital they're absolutely no condition to learn if any are putting other students at risk of getting sick as well to the class itself again affecting other students negatively when a certified doctor is suggesting that we not attend is in our best interests to follow those two mats we should be able to do that without worrying that we will get our off-campus taken away the message that's to put their academics before physical and mental health a cool idea instead of punishing our students are prioritizing calls absences with a doctor's note should not count against off-campus privileges with an abscess on our transcripts I'll get our food just taken away especially if there is clear or valid evidence that proves reason as to why we were absent
