CPS High School Town Hall to discuss plans to reopen in the 4th Quarter

Hancock Community,

Many of you have started to receive the opt-in emails from CPS to determine if you would like your child to opt-in to in-person instruction during the 4th quarter. If you have not received an email asking for your child's learning preference, please call us to verify your ASPEN email address.  While we still do not know the details of this plan, we encourage you to attend the CPS virtual town hall on Wednesday, March 10 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. You must sign up in advance to attend and the registration link is available on our website. After learning more from the district, we urge you to complete your survey as soon as possible so we can create school-specific plans to close out the final few weeks of school.

  • Please join us for a discussion about how we can safely welcome students back to high school. The district is actively meeting with the Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) to establish a plan for the return of high school students and staff. While a return date has not been set and the specific learning model used in high schools remains under discussion, we hope students will be able to return to school as early as mid-April.
