We will examine Latino identity, Latino origins, Themes in Latino History including political, social, and economic issues. This course will also focus on developing reading, writing and verbal and chart analysis skills aligned to the Common Core Standards. Your assignments and grades will also be based on Standard Common Core skills.  There are very high expectations of the students and by the teacher.   Native American History is a course about the Native peoples of America focusing not only on the history but also on the geography, economics, political and social systems of the region. This course will enable students to understand current events, crises, conflicts, and the connections derived through the perspective of the original and native people of America.
