Cuisine française ou francophone in Google Classroom

Cuisine française ou francophone

In pairs, groups of three, or individually, you will explore classic French cuisine or the cuisine of the Francophone country you researched for your Francophonie project.  You will then prepare a recipe and document that process through video or photos. Lastly, you will bring it to class to share with your classmates, and you will get to taste everyone else’s recipes!  Miam miam !!

I must approve your recipe choice (it must be a cooking recipe: no salads, drinks, etc.), and it should be something inexpensive to prepare yet different from foods we typically eat in the States.  The purpose of the project  is to explore the cuisine of another culture and demonstrate that you are able to follow recipes in French.  Attached is a Google sheet sign-up to ensure that no two groups are preparing the same recipe.

2e lettre pour ta/ton correspondant.e in Google Classroom

2e lettre pour ta/ton correspondant.e

Bonjour la classe !  Malheureusement, je suis malade.  :(

Voici vos 2e lettres de vos correspondants !

The folder containing your pen pal letters is attached.  Find your letter.  Share out your letters with your table mates.  Then write your response.

Attached are notes to help you write the French portion of your letter.  In French, write about:
how you spent their winter break
how your family celebrated the holidays
resolutions/goals for this year (use your French 1 New Year's Resolutions notes for this part)
Do NOT Google translate your letter.  For anything you do not know how to say, just write in English.  This is more beneficial to your pen pal, as they are studying English.  They'd rather read what you have to say, not what the internet has to say!

You should also respond to any questions their pen pals asked.

Then be sure to write 1-2 paragraphs in English about anything you want so your pen pal gets to practice their English.

When you are done with your letter, submit it to the Google Classroom.

Then you have the rest of the period to work on your Au-delà activities (if you were absent last Friday, look at the slides posted on the Classroom.

Bon week-end !
