Although your final scene is a staged reading (i.e. you don't have to memorize), you still need to make sure that you're fully engaged in the characters and thinking about presenting the scene to the audience with energy and focus. Otherwise, all the choices you've made with your technical elements won't really come to life or make sense because they won't match the performance. Therefore, today you need to PRACTICE. This means stand up, warm up, and go through the scene at least FIVE times as a group. Find some space on the classroom floor - not the dressing rooms or behind the bleachers - and work through the scene. Talk about what will be happening with the lighting and sound to integrate that into the piece.
After you've completed the five practice rounds, go back into the document from last class and make updates to your design ideas based on what you discovered in the practices today.
