Ms. Mantia is a 25 year+ veteran teacher of the Chicago Public Schools.  Her journey began with a teaching degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a master's degree in administration.  Ms. Mantia was a NCAA/Div. 1 athletic scholarship recipient who continued in her athletic endeavors to become a professional athlete.  She has assembled an impressive coaching resume over the years, earning 25 titles in conference, regional levels, as well as several city championships.  She is the Head coach for both the girls' and boys' volleyball programs at Hancock and runs the summer programs for volleyball in the off season.  Ms. Mantia has enjoyed teaching the freshmen classes of physical education and health since her tenure at Hancock.  In her free time she enjoys time with her family and friends as well as gardening, crafting, and home renovation.
