Chicago Public Schools will host a series of public engagement events to share updates and solicit input from families, educators, and members of the community. Here are the upcoming briefings:

Wednesday, November 1st, 6:00pm -7:30pm at Julian HS
These vital community engagement sessions will help CPS set priorities as a District, respond to where facility needs are greatest, and make the case for the necessary funding. Following the community engagement phase, CPS will produce a five-year strategic plan for approval by the Board of Education that will include recommendations for improving CPS facilities. If approved by the Board and funded by local, state, and federal resources, CPS will be able to move forward on the critical work of upgrading District facilities to serve the needs of CPS staff, students, and community.

Estas vitales sesiones de participación comunitaria ayudarán a CPS a establecer prioridades cómo distrito, responder a los lugares donde las necesidades de instalaciones son mayores y defender la financiación necesaria. Después de la fase de participación comunitaria, CPS producirá un plan estratégico de cinco años para su aprobación por la Junta de Educación que incluirá recomendaciones para mejorar las instalaciones de CPS. Si la Junta lo aprueba y lo financian recursos locales, estatales y federales, CPS podrá avanzar en el trabajo crítico de mejorar las instalaciones del Distrito para satisfacer las necesidades del personal, los estudiantes y la comunidad de CPS.
