This shows you how to transfer your content from Google Drive to an account not owned by CPS

hello Cindy graduates of John Hancock College Prep I said I was going to work with you to help you move your content migrate is called from where you have it and you can access it but not very not for long place where you can always access it so there is a couple ways to do this there's an easy way and a hard way let's go over the easy way first to do this you need to have a Gmail account or access to a Google Drive somewhere else to my CPS account has a folder that says 20190 6 or 7 and then there are all look all these pictures of me I want to share this with my good buddies jhcp your book at gmail.com that is not a CPS one so to do this I right click go back to the main things you could do it from here but it's probably better to everything together right so I right click on the entire folder I click share and then I type jhcp yearbook at and now it's going to warm you so this is the question I had don't have an answer to right now you might have stranger danger protocols that prevent you from sharing things with outside of cps.edu I don't know that for sure so that's why this easy way I'm presenting it but it might not work for you because I'm a teacher I get to say yes and it sure is it with my buddy my buddy is waiting for me right over here and this is the email that I received invitation to collaborate I'm going to click on it and as you can see I can open it but I'm not going to do that instead cuz if I if I open it I have to find it in shared with me right there it is because if it's shared with me I don't really own it I don't really control mine instead go down to this little thing here that's where it says saved Drive the click that and what that does is it moves it into the my drive section so now I have so what you need to do is you need to go to Every folder and every file and share it with that other Gmail brats what you going to the other Gmail Drive make sure that you share it with or that you move it into your drive and you're not just having a click shirt with me together there is the go to the second one the not ideal way which is a bit of a pain in the butt and I will always straight with my friend's account so to do this I need basically to throw everything into a single folder so I'm going to click new folder I'm going to call it transfer and then I'm going to control what's likes everything I'm going to hold on control and check transfer to transfer is not select that is important because now we're putting everything in transfer all 49 objects and take a second alright so now everything is essentially in transfer right now that transfer has been done I'm just very quickly select these and these II just do that again on check for Raikou everything is now in transfer and this is just the previous tough right click download service for everything in a zip drive a zip file which can be downloaded onto a flash drive so this is going to take a while that's because zipping all those files is so you want to be careful not to eat I'm okay download it and you put it on a flash drive and then you take it with you just do not lose the flash drive into you have a chance to move it the rules of data is that data that does not exist in two places and two locations does not exist anywhere okay so you graduated well used to be the man across the stage you lose access to your CPS mail its in the people who run the online stuff for CPS have never given me a definitive date as to the point where I have sussed out is about 18 months before you lose access to your stuff but there's a catch the catch is that remember how the password reset every 180 days and I kind of get a chat with you when you forget your security questions that's the deal sea in 6 months the 80s computers that I am not your librarian anymore I no longer will have access to your username and password to reset so after 6 months you're out of luck as long as you security questions and if not change them you can update your own security question password every 180 days as needed I will not be able to after 6 months so if I were you as quickly as possible I would go in to do this correctly cuz I don't want to mess anyway I would go into the Google at CPS Fang and I would click forgot password and I would start the process of resetting it if I forgot my security questions you need to see me ASAP because I have to click this whole thing and after 6 months I cannot that little thing and let me tell you something could have happened the past its an extremely extremely reluctant to give people access to things after that time. Has expired so basically take the time great rest of your life
