Natalie Garfield has been an educator for eighteen years. She started as a middle school Language Arts teacher before she moved into high school. She taught English and Reading at Kelvyn Park High school for seven years before moving to Hancock where she was a reading interventionist and classroom teacher. Subsequently she moved into the role of curriculum coordinator and then became an assistant principal. Ms. Garfield completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan and has three master's degrees: English Literature, Literacy, and Educational Leadership. In her spare time, Ms. Garfield enjoys hanging out with her dog Sidney, reading books (lots and lots of books) and traveling with her husband.
