I have been a member of the Hancock family since 2009 after I graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a degree in special education. Over the last nine years, I have worked as a teacher, mentor, department chair, and now as the case manager. I am very passionate about reforming public education and I have worked tirelessly to improve my teaching by earning a master's degree in school administration from Concordia University and a master's degree from Northeastern Illinois University in literacy education.

I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago and have always dreamt of being a teacher. Both of my parents taught in CPS and worked as  Biology and Special Education teachers.Teaching is in my DNA. When I am not busy with school, I enjoy spending time with my son, my husband and our dog, Petunia. We love to travel, cook, spend time with family and friends and enjoy our awesome city.
