Welcome to the homepage of the Department of Diverse Learners at Hancock High School!
First, the Department of Diverse Learners at Hancock College Prep High School would like to welcome you and your student into our learning community. At Hancock High School, we have high expectations for all students and our mission is to prepare all students to become critical thinkers and lifelong learners who are both college and career ready!
Second, we would like to inform you of our expectations for all students. We expect all students to be fully present, organized, and on-time for each of their classes. In high school, students will transition between seven classes each day. It is important that students have a plan for bringing all necessary homework and materials to their classes. As a parent, we ask that you help your student develop the organization skills he/she needs to be successful. Also, in high school we expect all students to spend at least one hour each day studying or completing homework/ projects. We ask that you help your child find space and time outside of school to complete their homework efficiently.
