Pre-Law 1-Block 1

Course Description

This is the first course in a four-year sequence of Law and Public Safety classes. The course will focus on three main areas: 1.) the structure and operation of the legal system in the United States; 2.) the criminal justice system; and 3.) the fundamentals of trial procedure. Students will learn the basics of American government and the criminal court system.  This class also involves learning how to prepare and conduct trials just as real lawyers do.  Students will compete in mock trials in front of real judges in actual courtrooms.
