2018-2019 AP CSP-Block 4

Course Description

Computer Science Principles (CSP) curriculum is a course designed around the AP Computer Science Principles Framework. AP CSP is a full-year, rigorous, entry-level course that introduces high school students to the foundations of modern computing. The course covers a broad range of foundational topics such as programming, algorithms, the Internet, big data, digital privacy and security, and the societal impacts of computing. The AP Assessment consists of a 74 question multiple choice exam and two assessments called the AP Performance Tasks (PTs). The first performance task is the Explore Performance Task. It has the students create a paper and artifact that address the impact of a computing innovation. The second performance task is the Create Performance task. In this task you will be developing a program of your choice. Your development process should include iteratively designing, implementing, and testing your program. You are strongly encouraged to work with another student in your class.
