Hancock History
Opened in 1999 as an elementary school, Hancock High School evolved into a high school providing innovative programs focusing on college preparation, community service and leadership. Hancock's smaller environment enables teachers to focus on developing individuals of integrity, knowledge and character. Hancock fosters leadership skills and community involvement, with a mix of small group workshops and support programs designed to help students discover and develop their academic leadership abilities. Hancock enables students to take college-level classes through College Bridge. Hancock's academic program includes special education, regular and Honors-level classes. Advanced Placement classes are offered in English, U.S. history, comparative government, and Spanish. Honors classes are available in all core subjects, as well as Spanish. |
