Year: Freshman Year

Flying Pennies

Being a Hancock freshie has been pretty cool. I've met new people, made new friends, and been through quite some stuff! Yeah, the thing every freshie watches out for (saying it from expirience) is the pennies! Ha ha ha! It was all good, I even enjoyed fooling around throwing pennies at other freshmen. That was until, during the Winter spirit week. The day each class had to show their spirit. As a freshie, I wore yellow. I learned two very important lessons that would help me through out my high school years. One, never use your phone during moving through a crowded hallway (even if its just to "check the time"), and then shove it in your book bag. Thing is, I ended up getting my phone stolen! Sad! =( So as Mr. Lietz was searching my classmates and even me, he sent me to go check in the class I'd been in before. So here I go back to Mrs. Magnan's classroom. What I didn't know was that the room at that time was full of Class of '09ers! I had just walked in and desired for the end of the world! "freshie!" and "hahahaha.,.,boo!" was all i heard! Then BOOM!! like a swarm of bees I saw about a gazillion pennies flying at me! I couldnt help but duck! It was one of my most embarrassing moments! So lesson numero dos; becareful on showing a little too much spirit! (around seniors!)
