1. Go to the staff tab above and log in. If you don't know your login try your first initial and last name. Try hancock for your password. If that doesn't work, contact George Schmidt.

2. Look on the left side: Reserve Facility. Select the date and time.

Please be considerate. Sometimes teachers reserve the lab for the entire day but only use it a few periods. Please type in the exact times you will need it. If you need it three periods, you'll submit three requests.

If you're the first one to request it, you get it.

Dear Hancock Families,

As we prepare to end our school year, I want our students to leave with important information for the beginning of the 2011 – 2012 school year. Please be mindful of the following dates:

Student Orientation:
August 29 – 30, 2011

Monday, August 29, 2011
Freshmen: 8:00 am - 11:00 pm

Tuesday, August 30, 2011
Sophomores: 9:00 am - 10:00 am
Juniors: 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Seniors: 11:00 am - 12:00 am

Polos will be sold, ID pictures taken, and programs distributed on orientation days.

If any of your neighbors are new to the area, please share with them our new student registration dates, which are Tuesday, August 16, 2011 and Wednesday 17, 2011 from
8:00 am – 12:00 pm.

This past month, we reviewed our dress code policy with our Local School Council (LSC). The LSC voted unanimously to make changes in our dress code. Students out of dress code disrupt the daily operations of the school and in an effort to establish a very clearly defined dress code, we have limited options for students. The new dress code requires all students to wear:
• Grey or maroon polos only
• Grey or maroon sweaters or hoodies over the polos
• Khaki pants (tan/beige color only). No other type of pants or color will be acceptable.

No rentals will be available if a student comes out of uniform. We have tried rentals, and many students have accumulated hundreds of dollars in debt without their parents’ knowledge. We do not have the human resources to continue this way. Next year, if a student comes out of uniform, we will have a series of consequences. This information will be shared with students during orientation. Parents will be required to sign a contract agreeing to support and abide by Hancock’s dress code.

Regards,

Pam Glynn,
Principal
